Description
MaineHealth Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their established Pediatric practice in Rockport, Maine.
About the role
The successful candidate will join a team of five pediatricians and a great team of support staff. The practice operates on a 4-day work week with no call requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care services to children and adolescents
- Collaborate with a team of pediatricians and other healthcare professionals
- Manage patient care plans and treatment protocols
- Perform physical exams and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
- Document patient care in the Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Successful completion of an approved Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program with two years of provider experience preferred
- Active Nursing license
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Current BCLS certification

- Experience working with children and families
- Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using the Epic EMR system
