Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Per Diem

About the role

This position involves providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care services across multiple locations, primarily in Waupaca with occasional coverage in Marinette. The role includes conducting wellness exams, managing minor illnesses and injuries, chronic disease management, performing minor procedures, and offering lifestyle counseling. It requires a confident, independent NP or PA committed to delivering comprehensive care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary care services, including physical exams, acute and chronic care, minor procedures, behavioral health management, and wellness counseling.
• Support care teams during coverage needs while maintaining manageable schedules and travel support as needed.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Wisconsin
• DEA registration
• CPR certification
• At least 2+ years of clinical experience in primary or urgent care settings
• Experience with electronic health records and seeing patients of all ages
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Skills

• Experience with Athena EMR
• Ability to work autonomously in a clinical setting
