Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Palliative Care
About the role
Providence Medical Group in conjunction with Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is seeking an inpatient Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to join their team in Santa Rosa, California. This is a part-time position with a tenured, passionate and collaborative group that works closely together.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative services and collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists and specialty services for patient care in high-needs communities with many acute cases from facilities to include Santa Rosa Memorial, Petaluma Valley Hospital and Healdsburg Hospital.
- Work with a regional team that includes Napa, Sonoma, and Eureka, offering extensive support.
- Be a strong team player with experience working with interdisciplinary teams, comfortable with independent practice, and an excellent communicator.
Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification (NP or PA).
- Experience working with palliative care and/or high-acuity patients.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Experience in inpatient settings preferred.
- Knowledge of palliative care principles and practices.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of palliative care.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay
Compensation is between $160,115 to $192,069 per year. The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling involving some weekends. No call is required.
