Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Surgery - Joplin, MO

About the role

This opportunity offers a full-time position within a system-wide Epic EMR environment. Tuition reimbursement is available for current Mercy RNs or MA's considering a transition to an APP role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions
• Perform surgical procedures under the supervision of licensed physicians
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Current certification as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in orthopedic surgery
• Experience in orthopedic surgery preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Must be a Mercy coworker for at least 12 months prior to applying for this position
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in medical terminology and orthopedic surgery
