Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Endocrinology (Santa Barbara, CA or San Luis Obispo)
Sansum Clinic is seeking a passionate and collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Endocrinology team. This full-time opportunity supports an established, well-respected practice with a strong patient base in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, offering the chance to practice in vibrant coastal communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient endocrine care, including chronic disease management
- Manage Type I & Type II diabetes and other endocrine-related conditions
- Deliver follow-up visits, urgent add-on visits, and work within a care-team pod model
- Collaborate closely with physicians, RNs, diabetes educators, and clinical support staff
- Provide patient education on diet, exercise, medications, and long-term disease management
- Participate in administrative duties (approximately 10% of workload)
Requirements
- NP/PA with directly related experience in Endocrinology
- Excellent skill set in Endocrinology
- Interest in following chronic conditions over time
- NP/PA Certified
- DEA Certificate and/or California Furnishing License
- Eligible to work in the United States
- CA Licensure or the ability to obtain CA Licensure
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Schedule
- Full-time position (36 patient-care hours per week)
- Monday–Friday, daytime schedule
- Outpatient only (no hospital responsibilities)
- No call requirement
- Patient volume: 12–16 patients per day
Pay
2-Year Guarantee: $130,000 – $180,000 annually
