Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This role involves focused physical exams and record review, with no treatment or medication prescribed.

Responsibilities

• Conducting in-person disability assessments for Veterans
• Reviewing and analyzing electronic medical records via a secure web portal
• Accurately documenting exam findings and completing VA forms
• Providing medical opinions based on assessment findings
• Compliance with VA privacy and gender-specific protocols, especially for sensitive examinations

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license
• Comfort with electronic documentation and web-based portals
• Strong analytical, time management, and professional interpersonal skills
• Empathy and a compassionate demeanor towards Veterans

Schedule

This is a part-time, in-person role with a manageable caseload and a structured schedule. There are no on-call duties.
