About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person disability assessments for Veterans
- Review electronic medical records via secure web portals
- Accurately document exam findings
- Provide medical opinions based on assessments
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted NP or PA license
- Proficiency in electronic documentation
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Compassionate, professional demeanor when interacting with Veterans
Schedule
Flexible part-time schedule with a caseload of 3-5 Veterans per day. Predictable schedule with no on-call duties.
