Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication.

Responsibilities

• Conducting in-person disability assessments for Veterans.
• Reviewing and analyzing electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Accurately documenting exam findings and completing VA forms.
• Providing medical opinions based on assessment findings.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with a structured schedule from Tuesday to Thursday, assessing 3-5 Veterans daily in person. There are no on-call duties.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and technology.

• Strong analytical and time-management skills.
• Empathetic and professional demeanor when interacting with Veterans.
• Comfortable reviewing records and completing documentation electronically.
