Nurse Practitioner - Nutritional Science
About the role
The Nurse Practitioner will have a unique dual-role opportunity supporting both clinical research initiatives and inpatient nutrition care. This position is primarily based on the Medical School campus and follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with daytime hours that may vary based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Performs specialized research procedures such as radial arterial line placement and fat and muscle biopsies, conducts physical examinations, educates participants, monitors study progress, and supports screening and enrollment activities.
- Partners with a doctor to provide inpatient care for patients requiring advanced nutrition support. Evaluates and manages patients with complex nutritional needs as part of the Nutrition Support Team, contributes to treatment plans, and supports high-quality patient outcomes.
