About the role
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as the primary care provider for long- and short-term residents at a skilled nursing facility in Normandy, MO. This role involves team-based care in collaboration with attending physicians and nursing home staff to deliver the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ health through visits, physical examinations, and review of medical histories.
- Build relationships with residents and families, educating them and formulating evidence-based care plans aligned with patients’ needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing home staff to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, including staying updated on legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
- Maintain professional knowledge through educational workshops, publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations, while respecting cultural, personal, and religious beliefs.
- Review and ensure accurate, timely charting, documentation, and administration of care.
Requirements
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Proficiency in health promotion, clinical skills, infection control, medication administration, pain management, and bedside manner.
- Strong abilities in thoroughness, informing others, medical teamwork, and self-development.
Extensive training will be provided.
Pay
Excellent salary commensurate with experience.
