Position Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and evaluation of presenting neurological concerns.
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory studies, diagnostic testing, and screenings to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with evidence-based practice guidelines and state regulations.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (HealthConnect).
- Collaborate closely with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, continuing education, and clinical guideline development.
- Provide continuity of care by monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
- Current Georgia Registered Nurse license.
- Current Georgia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with prescriptive authority.
- Current CPR certification.
