About the role
Primarily outpatient practice with inpatient consult support
Collaborate with a team of experienced neurologists and advanced practice providers
Established referral network with immediate patient volume
Hospital-employed position within an independent regional health system
Responsibilities
- Provide care for adult patients with a broad range of neurological disorders
- Offer comprehensive evaluations, ongoing disease management, medication adjustments, patient education, and coordination with rehabilitation services and other medical specialties
- Manage a typical outpatient clinic with strong referral base, mix of new consultations and follow-up visits
- Benefit from dedicated administrative support, collaborative physician supervision and mentorship, and efficient clinic workflow supported by experienced nursing and ancillary staff
- Work in a collaborative team environment with board-certified neurologists, experienced advanced practice providers, and dedicated nursing and clinical support staff
- Afford access to on-site imaging and diagnostic services, comprehensive rehabilitation services, and multidisciplinary specialists throughout Meritus Health
Requirements
- MD/DO degree with current license to practice medicine in the state of Maryland
- Experience in neurological disorders, including but not limited to migraine and headache disorders, epilepsy and seizure disorders, stroke and cerebrovascular disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, peripheral neuropathy, dementia and memory disorders, tremor and neuromuscular conditions, cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, balance disorders and dizziness
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a busy clinical schedule and maintain high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Board certification in Neurology preferred
- Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Strong interest in developing a patient-centered care model
