Nurse Practitioner - Internal Medicine
About the role
Acton Medical Associates, PC, a busy primary care practice, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner for our Internal Medicine department. The NP will participate in a care team model, collaborating with primary care physicians to care for a panel of patients with a variety of primary care needs including routine physicals, chronic disease management, and urgent care. This is a full-time position consisting of 8 clinical sessions (4 full days or 3 full days and 2 half days). Occasional Saturday urgent care coverage will be required. No night or weekend call.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a care team model with primary care physicians to provide comprehensive preventive care, chronic disease management, transitional care out of the hospital setting, and urgent care for adult patients age 18-end of life.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in adult medicine OR 5+ years of experience as a RN.
- Certified as a nurse practitioner by the ANCC or AANP.
- Current RN and NP licensure in Massachusetts.
- Current BCLS. CPR certification annually.
- Participation in relevant CEU programs. Maintenance of requirements for licensure.
