Nurse Practitioner - Inpatient Psychiatry - Full-Time Days

About the role

Provide direct clinical care to patients on one of several Specialty Psychiatric Inpatient Units. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be the primary clinician and team leader for the course of inpatient psychiatric care, conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic and risk assessments. Responsibilities include plan of care, including medication management, and monitoring the course of treatment. The NP will work with a multidisciplinary team including RNs and Social Workers to innovate and improve care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Current New York State License as Nurse Practitioner
• Current New York State Registered Nurse License
• National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of practice
• Basic Life Support Certification with the American Heart Association
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with physicians, peers, and others in the healthcare community

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous inpatient RN and/or NP psychiatric experience

Schedule

Full-time, day shift (9am - 5pm), Monday - Friday.

Pay

Salary Range: $162,776 - $180,201/Annual
