Responsibilities

  • Provides patient and family centered IV infusion care.
  • Facilitates consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team.
  • Incorporates the patient and family in care planning and treatment across settings.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients and families in navigating the health care system.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with physicians, health professionals, health related agencies, patients and families.
  • Works effectively with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Promotes mutual respect and trust working within a team model.
  • Reviews, updates and recommends relevant medical, clinical and administrative policies, procedures and education & skills to help assure high quality patient care.
  • Actively participates in quality initiatives.
  • Maintains accurate and timely records and reports, participates in patient service and program reviews.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school.
  • Active and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse license in the state where you practice, as well as current active board certification with ANCC or AANP.
  • May substitute a degree and certification from NCCPA with an active, unrestricted license in the state you practice.
  • Must have a current CPR certification (BLS minimum, including hands-on/in-person assessment).
  • Experience: 2 years of experience as an NP or PA in a clinical setting required or 3+ years as a Registered Nurse in oncology, ER, ICU, and/or infusion center. Infusion experience is required.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
