Nurse Practitioner Hepatology

About the Role

As our Nurse Practitioner, you will collaborate with the physician/medical director to assume clinical responsibility for tasks within your scope of practice. This includes taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, establishing diagnoses, and providing care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention. You will assist with patient admission, transfer, or discharge, make referrals to specialists and community agencies, and participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will develop patient-centered plans and provide care for acutely ill patients, including responding to emergencies and working in high-acuity settings such as intensive care units.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Establish diagnoses and provide care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in pediatric and adult patients.
• Assist in patient admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Make appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered care plans.
• Provide care and management for acutely ill patients, including emergency response and intensive care.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Three (3) years of clinical experience in a related specialty field.
• Compact state or Arizona RN license (RN).
• Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license (LIC APN).
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations (CT NP-AACN, CT NP-AANP, CT NP-ANCC, or CT NP-PNCB).
• DEA registration.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).

Preferred Qualifications

• ACNP/AGACNP certification.

Pay

$113,900.80 - $187,928.00 per year.
