About the role
Perform work providing medical services to patients within the scope of your license to practice in the State of Indiana in a physician office practice setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying potential areas of program development, developing strategic implementation plans, and coordinating program development objectives from the clinical and nursing perspective.
- Continuously monitor and implement the most efficient and effective patient care systems.
- Design and implement clinical research and quality improvement projects.
- Identify patient educational needs and design and implement a comprehensive patient education plan.
- Perform complete physical exams, identify abnormalities and changes, document findings in patient charts, and relay pertinent information to the physician.
- Provide leadership and direction for the program and office staff, and mentor office staff.
- Support the activities of the medical director, physicians, and Supervisor of Operations through consultation and direct patient care activities in physician office settings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and geriatric patients.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Demonstrates a high degree of independent action, constantly seeks new information and sources.
- Professional leadership evident through membership and active involvement in professional organizations.
- Ability to assess and interpret data about patient status to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care.
- Ability to update and maintain current knowledge through continuing education.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with nurse practitioner training.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required).
- Nurse Practitioner license (required).
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification (required).
- Healthcare/Medical – Nurse Practitioner experience (preferred).
