About the role

Perform work providing medical services to patients within the scope of your license to practice in the State of Indiana in a physician office practice setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying potential areas of program development, developing strategic implementation plans, and coordinating program development objectives from the clinical and nursing perspective.
  • Continuously monitor and implement the most efficient and effective patient care systems.
  • Design and implement clinical research and quality improvement projects.
  • Identify patient educational needs and design and implement a comprehensive patient education plan.
  • Perform complete physical exams, identify abnormalities and changes, document findings in patient charts, and relay pertinent information to the physician.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the program and office staff, and mentor office staff.
  • Support the activities of the medical director, physicians, and Supervisor of Operations through consultation and direct patient care activities in physician office settings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of independent action, constantly seeks new information and sources.
  • Professional leadership evident through membership and active involvement in professional organizations.
  • Ability to assess and interpret data about patient status to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care.
  • Ability to update and maintain current knowledge through continuing education.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with nurse practitioner training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required).
  • Nurse Practitioner license (required).
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification (required).
  • Healthcare/Medical – Nurse Practitioner experience (preferred).
