Nurse Practitioner, Convenience Care - LV Nellis Family Medicine Clinic - Full Time 12 Hour Rotating Shifts (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

About the role

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) Convenience Care specializes in providing comprehensive patient care in a convenient care setting. This role requires a strong foundation in clinical practice, with a focus on physical exams, diagnostic procedures, and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining patient health histories and conducting physical examinations.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Performing procedures such as obtaining specimens, injections, and wound care.
• Writing orders for medication adjustments and initiating consultations.
• Maintaining patient records and updating them as necessary.
• Communicating with other healthcare professionals and facilitating patient care coordination.
• Assisting with medical research projects and obtaining IRB approval for treatment protocols.
• Referring patients to appropriate community resources based on their medical needs.
• Participating in in-service education programs and professional associations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English and Spanish if preferred.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and conditions.
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Valid Nevada State Board of Nursing License as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Valid DEA Certificate for Schedule II-V controlled substances.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Radiology Life Support (ARLS) certification upon hire or within 30 days.
• USC Credentialing within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (MSN).
• Experience in acute care, adult medicine, family medicine, or gerontology.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish (if preferred).
• Knowledge of medical procedures and conditions.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,240.00 - $181,896.00.
