Nurse Practitioner - Cardiothoracic ICU

About the role

Join the Cardiothoracic ICU team at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This full-time position offers two shift options: a 50/50 rotation between days and nights, or nights only. The role involves enhancing quality patient care, improving communication among physicians, family members, and the healthcare team, and leading evidence-based care initiatives to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents.
• Lead quality and evidence-based care initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program (MSN required).
• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification may be required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) may be required.
• Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
• This position requires wearing a respirator as part of the job.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in Acute Care preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in clinical care, cardiology, or surgical backgrounds preferred.

Schedule

• Full-time – 40 hours per week.
• 50/50 rotation between days and nights, or nights only.
• Weekend and holiday requirements.

Pay

• Eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus.
• Night shift differential while on a day/night rotation: $7.00/hour.
• Night shift component of pay while on nights only: $20,000/year.
