Nurse Practitioner – Cardiac Support

Prime Healthcare is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support the cardiology team at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL. This full-time role involves working in a high-acuity cardiac care setting alongside board-certified cardiologists, providing outpatient and limited inpatient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and cardiac evaluations
• Manage chronic cardiac conditions such as CHF, CAD, arrhythmias, and post-MI care
• Assist with medication management, lifestyle counseling, and patient education
• Collaborate with cardiologists to monitor and adjust treatment plans
• Support post-discharge follow-up and transitional care

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois
• Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with cardiology experience
• At least 1 year of experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred
• ACLS and BLS certification required

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $120,000–$140,000 annually. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
