About the Role

Nurse Practitioner position within AMG Neurosurgery, focusing on diagnosis and treatment of specialty-specific patients across adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Responsibilities include assessment and management of pain, as well as outpatient and inpatient clinical duties applicable to the specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized care, addressing both health problems and their impact on patients and their families.
  • Explain health problems, medications, and self-care strategies to ensure patient understanding.
  • Deliver quality care that achieves high levels of patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and legible documentation.
  • Demonstrate consistent performance and productivity.
  • Assume responsibility for professional development and ongoing education to maintain proficiency.
  • Understand and prioritize excellent customer service and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an appropriate baccalaureate and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Georgia with current national certification.
  • At least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the specialty area of practice.
  • Excellent clinical skills as a Nurse Practitioner.

  • Ability to work under stressful conditions.

Physical Demands

  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Ability to lift, bend, pull, and push using proper body mechanics without limitations.
  • Visual acuity with corrective lenses to read printed material and assess patients, including detecting changes in color or respirations.
  • Hearing ability to ask and answer questions and relay information.

Supervision

Clinically supervised by a Physician. Administratively supervised by the Director of Primary or Specialty Practices. Does not supervise others.
