Job Summary

The Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of digestive health conditions, collaborating closely with supervising physicians and the multidisciplinary care team. This role ensures continuity and coordination across the full spectrum of care, from initial evaluation through treatment and follow-up, while serving as a central point of communication between providers, patients, and families. The Nurse Practitioner plays a key role in assessing gastrointestinal conditions, supporting clinical decision-making, and promoting efficient care delivery, contributing to high-quality outcomes through advanced clinical expertise and collaborative practice. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current and active State of FL Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License that includes prescriptive privileges certified by the AANP or the ANCC
  • Master's degree or greater
  • Graduate from an ANA accredited School of Nursing
  • Graduate of Nurse Practitioner program with MS degree
  • Maintain current Certifications by AHA in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Nurse Practitioner experience, preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of specialized medical training, preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of gastroenterology experience, preferred
