Role And Responsibilities
- Analyzes and interprets patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Orders, performs, and/or interprets the results of diagnostic tests.
- EKG rhythm identification and interpretation.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in all circumstances.
- Completes peer to peer reviews as per insurance requirements.
- Acts as a clinical resource and role model, supporting staff education collaboratively with the RN.
- Participates in development of cardiac care protocols and policies.
- Completes peer-to-peer reviews as per insurance requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
- Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in an Emergency Department, hospital or outpatient setting, additional cardiology experience preferred.
- The ability to multitask and work collaboratively with RN and support staff.
- Maintains a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
- Absolute ACLS and BLS Certification.
- Familiarity with medical emergencies and appropriate treatment.
- Experience with an EMR system.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay and Schedule
