About the role
Boulder Care is hiring experienced Nurse Practitioners to work directly with patients in a fully remote, outpatient setting. The primary focus is on delivering medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) using a harm reduction model.
Responsibilities
- Independently initiate and manage buprenorphine treatment within a structured, team-supported model of care.
- Work directly with patients to provide medication for opioid use disorder.
- Meet patients where they are, empowering them to reduce harm and build stability on their own terms through nonjudgmental, non-coercive, non-punitive support.
- Identify and support patients' recovery goals through shared decision-making.
Requirements
- Reside in one of the following states: AK, AZ, CO, FL, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, VA, WA, WY
- Have an active Nurse Practitioner license in your state of residence (candidates residing in Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, or Virginia must hold the designation or licensure required to practice independently without physician supervision in their state).
- Have at least 6 months of experience in an independent, outpatient setting where you regularly prescribed buprenorphine-based medications — including initiating care, not just continuing existing prescriptions — as a core part of your daily practice.
- Be interested in full-time work: 30-40 hours/week, with various shift options (see schedule details below).
