About the role
Boulder Care is hiring experienced Nurse Practitioners aligned with harm reduction principles to work directly with patients in a fully remote outpatient setting. Clinicians in this role independently initiate and manage buprenorphine treatment within a structured, team-supported model of care.
Responsibilities
- Independently initiate and manage buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorder (MOUD)
- Work directly with patients to deliver medication management services
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care
- Manage a caseload of patients with opioid use disorder
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed
Requirements
- Reside in one of the following states: AK, AZ, CO, FL, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, VA, WA, WY
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in your state of residence
- At least 1 year of experience in an independent, outpatient setting where you regularly prescribed buprenorphine-based medications — including initiating care, not just continuing existing prescriptions — as a core part of your daily practice
- Interested in full-time work: 30-40 hours/week, with various shift options (see below for details)
Qualifications
- Active NP license and reside in one of these states: AK, AZ, CO, FL, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, VA, WA, WY
- Note: Candidates who reside in Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, or Virginia must hold the designation or licensure required to practice independently without physician supervision in their state.
- Strong patient-centered practice and ability to work autonomously
- Private workspace with HIPAA-compliant setup

Benefits
Boulder offers competitive compensation and benefits, including:
- Salary range: $130,000 - $140,000 (up to $145,000 in select markets)
- Paid break allotments: 40-50 minutes per shift
- 4 weeks/year (5 weeks after 2 years) vacation time

Pay & Schedule
- Full-time: 30-40 hours per week
- Full-time Monday through Friday schedules are fixed and may be structured as 3x10s, 4x8s, 4x10s, or 5x8s
- 8-hour shifts are 8am to 6pm Pacific
- 10-hour shifts are 10am to 6pm Pacific
- Paid break allotments: 40-50 minutes per shift
