About the role

Outpatient psychiatry practice serving patients ages 5 and up (approximately 75% youth, 25% adult) in Central New York Hospital employed setting. Located 45 minutes from Syracuse, 80 minutes from Utica and Rochester, and 4½ hours from New York City, with a domestic airport in Syracuse offering direct flights to 26 major U.S. cities. Collaborates with therapists to provide medication management and psychiatric evaluations, works with school‑based clinic staff, and includes one weekend per month of inpatient rounding at Lobdell Center for Mental Health & Wellness. EMR system is Meditech.

Responsibilities

• Complete medication management and psychiatric evaluations in collaboration with a therapist.
• See approximately 12‑16 patients per day, with 90‑minute initial evaluations and 15‑30 minute follow‑up or 30‑minute medication management appointments.
• Work with school‑based clinic staff.
• Perform inpatient rounding one weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday morning) at Lobdell Center for Mental Health & Wellness.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Physician Associate) in psychiatry.
• Fellowship skill: PSY (psychiatry).

Pay

Guaranteed salary range: $125,000 – $145,000 plus wRVUs.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., with option for longer shifts to accommodate a 4‑day work week. Includes one weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday morning) for inpatient rounding at Lobdell Center.
