Nurse (Outpatient)

About the role

Nurses at the Indian Health Service (IHS) are dedicated professionals who provide compassionate care to American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Guided by the IHS mission to improve the health of these populations, nurses play a crucial role in delivering essential healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify potential health issues early.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient progress and communicate with family members and other healthcare providers as necessary.

Requirements

• A current license to practice nursing in the state of Arizona.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check.
• Pass a drug screening.
• Be willing to relocate to one of the listed locations.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
