Nurse (Outpatient)

About the role

Nurses at the Indian Health Service (IHS) are dedicated professionals who provide compassionate care to American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Guided by the IHS mission to improve the health of these populations, nurses play a vital role in delivering care where it is most needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and effective healthcare services to patients in underserved areas.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health promotion and disease prevention.
• Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives within the IHS.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Arizona.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities preferred.
• Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
