About the role

Provide specialized patient care in a neuro/pulmonary stroke unit, focusing on conditions such as stroke, TIA, COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia. The role involves complex assessments and interventions, including high flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, and chest tubes.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with stroke coordinators and perform frequent patient assessments.
• Provide patient and family education.

Requirements

• Nursing degree (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
