Per Diem Certified Nurse Midwife position at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. The hospital is located two hours north of New York City. The practice includes four board‑certified physicians and certified nurse midwives with a long‑standing regional reputation. The primary office is in a suite at Northern Dutchess Hospital; a secondary office is in Kingston, shared with primary care. Deliveries occur at the Neugarten Family Birth Center, which offers a safe, holistic, family‑centered birthing experience with advanced medical and surgical options, featuring single‑room birthing where labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stay happen in one room with the baby. Rhinebeck is part of a large historic district along the Hudson River, offering restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, events at the Dutchess Country Fairgrounds, and outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and boating. The area provides access to top‑rated restaurants, performing arts centers, museums, excellent housing and schools, and nearby colleges including Bard, Vassar, Marist, SUNY New Paltz, and the Culinary Institute of America. New York City is reachable via Amtrak. Northwell Health, the largest not‑for‑profit health system in the Northeast, oversees the hospital.
