Responsibilities
- Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
- Maintains departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
- Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Affirms the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
- May provide patient care when necessary.
- Cultivates an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Requirements
- A current state RN license.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school or an associate's degree with current enrollment in a bachelor's program for nursing.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Three years of experience in all aspects of medical surgical nursing and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
- A current Arizona or compact multi-state RN license.
- A BSN or ADN with current enrollment in a BSN program required.

Pay
Commensurate with experience.
Schedule
5x8, Days (8a-5p), some weekends required.
