Nurse Manager - Progressive Care Unit
Position Summary
Directs all nursing activities within an organized unit for the purpose of delivering optimal nursing care in a therapeutic and cost-effective manner. Responsible for meeting Joint Commission Standards of patient care as well as the established Standards of Nursing Practice. Ensures availability of support services, acts as a resource to the staff, participates in forming and interpreting the Hospital and Department of Nursing's philosophy, goals, standards, and policies. Responsible for hiring competent employees, supervising staff, and engaging in strategic and operational decision-making while utilizing staff retention strategies. Communicates and collaborates with the Director of Nursing and ANM for effective management.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing required.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years current RN experience required.
