About the role
A health system in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager, Oncology to provide clinical and operational leadership for its inpatient oncology unit. This is a great opportunity for an oncology expert to step into a newly renovated unit with an engaged team and play a key role in growing and strengthening the oncology program.
Responsibilities
- Providing 24/7 clinical and operational oversight of the oncology/medical-surgical unit
- Leading, supporting, and developing nursing staff while promoting high-quality patient care
- Partnering with physician leadership on unit operations and strategic initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with oncology standards, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the oncology program
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license, BCLS, and Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN)
- 3–5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience with hematology/oncology experience
- Strong chemotherapy knowledge and understanding of oncology standards, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Pay
$145,000 to $162,000
