About the role
This position will work Full Time, 8-hour Day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care.
- Plans, directs, and manages the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units.
- Oversees the 24-hour operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, employee relations, patient satisfaction, practice guidelines for specialty, organizing and controlling.
- Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Certified California Registered Nurse License.
- Current BLS - American Heart Association certification.
- 5 years of recent experience in acute hospital setting.
- Computer experience.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to healthcare administration.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
