Nurse Manager, Full Time Days, 8am - 4pm, 3 East Telemetry, Atlantic Health, Chilton Medical Center
About the role
Responsible for leading and implementation program that supports non-physician clinical staff with orientation and competency assessment in order to promote standardized clinical work flow and optimal patient care. Evaluates performance, provide feedback and mentors, develop education programs, and contribute to staff professional development and provide oversight of Environment of Care (EOC) and Infection Prevention (IP) in collaboration with the IP departments.
Principal Accountabilities
- Identifies the clinical and professional development needs of nursing staff, plans and provides education in area of expertise.
- Develops and provides educational programs and conferences for staff, other departments, and community.
- Plans, and implements quality improvement programs for both clinical education and environment of care.
- Works with staff to identify interventions needed to successfully implement workflow changes.
- Reviews patient and staff data to measure the effectiveness of patient care.
- Works with senior leadership, interdisciplinary teams and other stakeholders in order to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services in align with the system.
- Addresses issues to promote a productive and supportive work environment.
Required QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- PREFERRED: Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- 5 years' experience in clinical, management experience in an ambulatory setting or relevant area.
- Certification in BLS and valid NJ nursing license.
