About the role
This position will be accountable for the Maternal Fetal Institute (MFI) Clinic and accepts responsibility for all department functions of the Specialty Obstetric Referral Center (SORC). This position requires an RN license thereby accepting responsibility for critical thinking decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. This role also oversees the Antepartum department. The Department manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals.
Responsibilities
- Accepts responsibility for critical thinking decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act
- Oversees the Antepartum department
- Identifies cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers
- Maintains all requirements needed to function as a staff nurse in order to perform these duties in times of high census and or minimal staffing
Requirements
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) AHA or ARC
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Must be a (RN) Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Texas - Compact is accepted
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required - MBA or MHA is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of practice as an RN in the NICU or OB area is required
- Must have recent management/supervisory experience in an acute care environment

Pay
Medical City Dallas offers competitive compensation packages, with estimated annual salaries ranging from $35,970 to $50,831.
