Responsibilities

• Fulfill all responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist and Scribe positions as detailed in their respective job descriptions.
• Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all employees, patients, and team members.
• Deliver clinical and administrative support while adhering to company policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, including HIPAA and health information management guidelines.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake.
• Triage patients by checking vitals, performing blood draws, administering injections, and observing patient conditions.
• Chart and report changes in patients’ conditions (e.g., adverse reactions to medication or treatment) and take necessary action.
• Assist with lab testing, phlebotomy, and minor procedures or physicals.
• Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatment.
• Assist patients utilizing a Virtual Medicine Provider.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient charts and forward them as appropriate.
• Arrange referrals to specialists and obtain pre-authorizations as directed by the Provider.
• Perform federal and non-federal DOT, BAT, and Drug Screen exams.
• Welcome and onboard new employees, including facilitating introductions, clinic tours, and process overviews.
• Support new employee training through job shadowing, demonstration, and coaching.
• Perform the physical, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position as specified in the physical demands.
• Maintain a respectful culture of confidentiality for employees, employers, and business operations.
• Complete all mandatory compliance training.
• Maintain overall office cleanliness, including garbage disposal, organization, and professional appearance of patient and office spaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assist with clerical work, such as patient check-in, recording demographic/insurance/financial information, and verifying insurance eligibility.
• Relay information on payment policies and billing/collection processes.
• Work as part of the team by answering telephones, taking messages, and returning voicemails professionally.

Requirements

Fast Pace Health defines multiple levels for the Nurse position, with varying experience and certification requirements:

• Level 1: High School Diploma or equivalent with a current CPR license and/or at least 1 year of experience as a certified LPN (preferred in a clinic setting, ideally urgent care).
• Level 2: Certified LPN with a current CPR license and either (1) 3 years’ experience in a relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience as a Nurse, or (2) 4 years’ experience in a relevant role. Alternatively, a Certified RN with a current CPR license and either (1) 1 year of experience in a relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience as a Nurse, or (2) 2 years’ experience as a Nurse.
• Level 3: Certified LPN with a current CPR license and either (1) 5 years’ experience in a relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience as a Nurse, or (2) 6 years’ experience in a relevant role. Alternatively, a Certified RN with a current CPR license and either (1) 3 years’ experience in a relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience as a Nurse, or (2) 4 years’ experience as a Nurse.
• Level 4: Certified RN with a current CPR license, at least 10 years of experience as a Nurse, and 1 year of Fast Pace experience.
• Level 5: Certified RN with a current CPR license, at least 15 years of experience as a Nurse, and 2 years of Fast Pace experience.
• Level 6: Certified LPN with a current CPR license and either (1) 5 years’ experience in a relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience as a Nurse, or (2) 6 years’ experience in a relevant role. Alternatively, a Certified RN with a current CPR license and either (1) 3 years’ experience in a relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience as a Nurse, or (2) 4 years’ experience as a Nurse.

Additional Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with an active, verifiable license in good standing.
• TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment (if applicable in your state) and maintained during employment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform administrative duties, including scheduling, ordering, training, and other tasks assigned by Clinic or Regional Director.
• Must be receptive to feedback and active within 7 days of hire.
