About the Role
Support nursing staff in the Progressive Care Unit while gaining hands-on experience in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor vital signs
- Support patient mobility
- Perform basic procedures (wound care, catheter care, specimen collection)
- Document care accurately
- Communicate updates to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families
- Maintain infection control standards
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start
