About the role
Nurse Extern PRN, a vital member of the nursing team, providing hands-on patient care and gaining experience in the Registered Nurse role.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs, mobility, comfort, and hygiene
- Performing basic nursing tasks such as wound and catheter care, specimen collection, and other procedures
- Accurately documenting care and communicating updates to ensure seamless patient care
- Guiding patients and families on care plans and recovery processes
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment by following infection control practices
- Engaging in learning opportunities, sharing ideas for care improvement, and collaborating with supervisors for career development
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program with an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment
