Requirements

• Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum (age 18+ and able to participate in Mercy's UAP training program), or current Mercy co‑worker.
• Experience: None required; if no prior experience, Mercy provides a 175‑hour training program meeting state Department of Health and Senior Services requirements, to be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Certifications: BLS certification required within one month of hire; completion of PCA competencies within three months of hire.
• Preferred certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
