Nurse Educator- Post Partum 5SB and 6SB- Full Time- Days

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for staff development including orientation, in-services, continuing and mandated education for all levels of staff. This role promotes best clinical practices and inspires award-winning nurses. The Clinical Nurse Educator provides leadership in the development, implementation, and review of Nursing Standards. This is a full-time day position in the Postpartum Units at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Conducting clinical rounds
• Identifying the individual and collective learning needs of staff
• Developing course curriculum and teaching classes
• Incorporating research findings and using cutting-edge technology (e.g., on-line learning modules and simulation)

Required criteria

• Minimum of 4 years related experience
• Current NYS RN licensure
• Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education
• BCLS certification through the AHA

Preferred criteria

• Nursing Education experience, including simulation experience
• Women's Health Nursing experience
• Basic Life Support Instructor Certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor
• National certification in Nursing Professional Development and/or clinical specialty

Pay

$150,324-$161,649/Annual
