WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team in East Orange, NJ. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape educational programs in the Emergency Department during a period of growth and transformation. The role involves collaboration with nursing leadership to enhance clinical practice, improve patient outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance.Reports to Director of EducationSupports orientation, onboarding, competency validation, continuing education, leadership development, and quality initiativesServes as educator, consultant, facilitator, researcher, leader, and change agent within the organizationPartners with nursing leadership to improve clinical practice, patient outcomes, staff engagement, and regulatory complianceWill oversee educational needs across all shifts, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight coverage as neededRequirementsActive RN license in New Jersey (or compact license)BSN requiredMSN strongly preferredAPRN, CNL, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or specialty certification preferredSpecialty certification in nursing administration or clinical specialty preferred; required within 2 years of hire if not already obtainedBLS, ACLS, and PALS requiredTrainer certification preferred/required based on department needsMinimum 3 years of nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experienceMaster's degree may substitute for 2 years of required experienceEmergency Department experience strongly preferredAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordStrong presentation, communication, mentoring, and curriculum development skillsExperience with competency assessments, orientation programs, performance improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness, and evidence-based practiceKey ResponsibilitiesLead orientation and onboarding programs for new nursing staffDevelop and maintain department competency and education programsCoordinate continuing education, certifications, leadership development, and regulatory trainingDesign and deliver evidence-based clinical education initiativesPartner with nursing leadership on quality improvement and patient safety initiativesSupport accreditation, TJC, DOH, OSHA, and regulatory compliance activitiesAnalyze educational and clinical performance data to identify gaps and opportunitiesDevelop policies, procedures, protocols, and best-practice standardsMentor bedside nurses and emerging nurse leadersFacilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and professional developmentLead educational projects, committees, and change management initiativesBenefits of the Role:Opportunity to build and shape Emergency Department education programs during an exciting period of growth and operational transformation.Highly visible leadership role with direct influence on nursing practice, staff development, retention, quality outcomes, and patient safety.Strong partnership with executive nursing leadership and the ability to implement meaningful organizational change.Ideal opportunity for an experienced ED educator, Nurse Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or nurse leader seeking broader system-level impact while remaining clinically connected.Location: East Orange, NJFull-time, Days (typically Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)Salary: $97,000-$110,000 Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
