Nurse Educator (1099 Independent Contractor)

About the role

Independent Contract Nurse position covering Detroit, MI and surrounding areas. This flexible contract role involves traveling to patients' homes to train them on injection techniques. Training requests range from 3-5 per month, with each session lasting about 1-2 hours on average. Trainings are completed on the patient's schedule within our guidelines, and the number of trainings varies based on new enrollments.

Pay

Compensation is $160 per patient training, plus travel time at $55/hour after the first hour. Mileage reimbursement and other job-necessary expenses are also covered.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Michigan
• Liability insurance (can be purchased at a later date)
• Valid driver's license and car insurance
• Proficiency with computers, personal computer, and personal cellphone
• Exceptional communication, training, and interpersonal relationship skills

Schedule

Flexible, based on patient needs. Trainings are scheduled on the patient's availability within company guidelines.
