The Nurse will ensure medical preparedness, primary health care, and supervision of the working environment on the FPSO Atlanta, promoting health and well-being, including aspects related to food security and sanitation. Activities must comply with the standards established by "NORMAN 01 - DPC Brazil Navy" and Minister of Labor NR 37 (Platform Health Care).

Responsibilities

  • Attend to medical preparedness on the installation.
  • Participate in the emergency response organization in accordance with the emergency response plan.
  • Be responsible for the daily operation of the health service, including reporting, procurement, and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Offer primary medical treatment of illness on board, in cooperation with the medically responsible doctor and the doctor on duty.
  • Supervise and follow up on general hygiene, drinking water, and food hygiene.
  • Promote health and assist in disseminating information on work-related health risks and general health.
  • Assist in the identification, registration, explanation, follow-up, and prevention of work-related illness.
  • Provide health-related expertise in charting, following up, and improving the working environment.
  • Assist and follow up on chemicals handling, including compiling a health risk assessment related to handling chemicals.
  • Supervise the Catering Company, ensuring sanitary conditions and food security.
  • Take initiative and actively follow up on employees who are off sick.
  • Be a driving force in drug prevention efforts.
  • Provide information for accident reporting within your area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate and participate actively in general HSE issues, with a focus on safety and accident prevention.
  • Perform administrative work related to crew change.
  • Carry out duties as specified in the Emergency Response Plan.
  • Prepare handover and other relevant operational reports/documents in bilingual language (English and Portuguese).
  • Perform additional duties as required by organizational or medical superiors, in accordance with the Contingency and Medical Regulation Manual.

HSE Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high degree of HSE awareness.
  • Lead by example in safe work practices.
  • Observe and report any unsafe activities, conditions, or situations.
  • Use the ‘Stop Work’ Policy if unsafe conditions are observed.

Qualifications

  • Nurse graduation.
  • Preferably specialized education in Occupational Nursing.
  • Preferably with previous experience in emergency and offshore installation settings.
  • Valid registration at COREN.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
