Nurse
Essential Functions
- Assist with general Psychiatric Services/ Clinic nursing duties as needed
- Manage the Psychiatric Services Only (PSO) program
- Oversight and Case Management of this population
- Keep an up-to-date census of persons served within PSO
- Request reauthorization when appropriate and make sure all authorizations are current
- Link, as appropriate, PSO persons served with primary care providers
- Participate in the completion and documentation of assessments (IPOS, Nursing Assessment, BH-TEDS, LOCUS, AIMs, Consents, Financial Determination and Crisis plain, if indicated, etc.)
- Conduct nursing and health care appraisals
- Participate in interdisciplinary staffing meetings and other pertinent meetings
- Act as a consultant to co-workers as well as other providers in the greater mental health system
- Provide information and resources to interested parties relative to specific diagnoses, health concerns, etc.
- Administer medications and perform other medical procedures such as medication injections, according to applicable policies. Procedures and standards as appropriate
- Collaborate with persons served (and staff) in assessing their nursing needs, developing treatment goals, objectives, methodologies, timeliness, and evaluating progress toward nursing/health goals
- Maintain knowledge of mental health symptom otology, intervention and treatment strategies
- Aid in setting up of medications for persons served
- Aid with general Psychiatric clinic nursing duties, as needed
- Coordinate services with other community agents (i.e. pharmacies, PCP) to enhance integrated service delivery
- Be the back-up nursing support for all nurses in emergency situations
Qualifications
- Nursing degree with appropriate licensure (required)
- Additional certification may be required (preferred)
- Two (2) years of experience in providing services to consumers who have mental health needs (preferred)
Pay
PAY: $64,782 - $74,282

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements
- This position may require irregular hours
- This position may require travel by personal vehicle if an agency vehicle is not available
- Physical demands: Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs., stretching/reaching, exposure to hazardous material, stooping (bend at waist)
- Frequently exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious disease, talking on the telephone, hearing in person, hearing on the telephone, vision for close work
- Constantly hand/finger dexterity
