About the role
Registered Nurses are needed to work in an outpatient procedure-based setting in Bronx, NY.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and caring for patients in Pre, Intra and Post Op
- Administering medications and moderate sedation as directed by the physician
- Implementing and evaluating care based on patient characteristics
- Obtaining patient histories, vital signs, venipuncture, specimen collection, and educating patients
- Administering various medications and lab tests
- Evaluating patient status during and after procedures
- Maintaining inventory of supplies, equipment and reagents
- Ordering supplies, equipment and reagents as authorized and escalating needs as necessary
- Ensuring proper cleaning, transporting and storing of reusable medical equipment
- Recording diagnosis, treatment plans, progress notes and doctors’ orders in patient charts
- Coordinating and participating in patient follow-up care
- Keeping doctors informed of any issues or corrective actions
- Ensuring patient flow and maintaining a state of readiness for inspections
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of Critical Care, ER, Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience
- Intra op monitoring experience preferred
- Conscious sedation/moderate sedation certification a plus
