Nurse Assistant or Trainee - Surgical 900 W - Night Shift

About the role

Nurse Assistant or Nurse Assistant Trainee positions are available at 900 East, a 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for GI and GU surgical patients. The unit is also recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other assigned tasks.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff or clinical educators and report any changes.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years, OR Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, valuable time management skills, strong analytical/problem solving skills, flexibility, ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS must be obtained within 90 days.

Must be available for work on a consistent and timely basis and conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks.

Pay

Up to $1,800 Sign-On Bonus, Up to 24 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off, Up to $3,000 Relocation bonus.
