Schedule

• Full-time, nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• 72 scheduled bi-weekly hours
• Weekends required
• No on-call shifts

About the Role

Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, contributes to the delivery of patient-centered care through:

• Performance of selected day-to-day patient care activities
• Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being
• Demonstration of unit/area-designated competencies
• Interaction with patients considering their developmental, age-specific, and cultural spiritual preferences

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste, and other policies and protocols
• Performs other related job duties as requested

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Formal education or training in a medical careers program OR enrollment in nursing school OR two or more years’ experience in a Patient Care Associate/Nurse Assistant role
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date

Preferred Qualifications

• State Certified Nursing Assistant
• Basic EMT Certification
• LPN License
