Nurse Assistant II Part Time Nights
Description
Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II to join their team. The position is available on a part-time basis, working 24 hours per shift, during night shifts.
What You Will Do
- Collect and report patient information and data
- Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
- Patient Transport
- Collection of specimens
- Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
- Delivery of ice and beverages to patients as directed
- As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed
- Significant previous healthcare related experience
- Certification: Current Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry certification required. BLS certification required.
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
Preferred Skills
- Experience: 5 years of previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English and do simple math problems
- Experience using a computer highly desirable
