Nurse Assistant

Job Responsibility

• Affords assistance with activities of daily living such as hygiene, bathing, feeding and ambulation.
• Monitors patients for changes in condition and communicates these observations to the Registered Nurse.
• Responds to patient call lights and handles them appropriately.
• Transports patients between units following the guidance of the Registered Nurse and using proper transfer techniques.
• Ensures patient rooms are neat and tidy, linen is changed, and other basic care tasks are completed.
• Maintains supply stock and orders necessary items for patient care.
• Supports the admission, discharge, and transfer processes of patients.
• Adheres to safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all individuals within the facility.
• Works towards cost-effective patient care by managing resources efficiently.

Job Qualification

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A successful completion of a Nurse Assistant Program is preferred.
• Prior relevant experience is considered advantageous.
